Colleen Adarhormazd, LPC - Licensed Professional Counselor
Biography
Colleen is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Oregon. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development & Family Sciences, with an option in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Psychology from Oregon State University in 1997. She  completed her Master's of Arts degree in Counseling from George Fox University in 2006. She completed her clinical internship at the Old Mill Center for Children and Families in Corvallis, OR in 2005-06. Colleen has a 100 hour specialized training certificate in Therapy with Adoptive and Foster Children and Families from Portland State University. Colleen works with children, teens, college-age students and adult women. Colleen has special training in many areas including Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Counselor Supervision, Motivational Interviewing, Collaborative Problem Solving, Nurturing Parenting, Healing Prayer, Sand Tray Therapy and Play Therapy. Colleen has empathy for and personal experience with divorce, single parenting and living with chronic health issues. She has a 19 year old daughter and volunteers with Life Seeds, a nonprofit with programs in India, Uganda & Corvallis www.lifeseedsoregon.org. Colleen enjoys camping, crafts, traveling, volleyball, mission trips & music. Colleen's  Christian faith is very important to her and guides her practice.
